At Notre Dame Seishin Junior and Senior High School, the students had a vacation from January 21^st to 24^th because of the entrance exam . All the students did home study and spent four fulfilling days. From the night of the 24th, snow piled up in Hiroshima due to a strong winter-type atmospheric pressure pattern. It was the first heavy snow in 33 years in Hiroshima city. In Shobara City, 80 centimeters of snow accumulated. Due to the cold wave, strong winds and snowfall were expected, and transportation was also affected. Therefore, on January 25th, the school was temporarily closed.
