Competition

Competition ~ Second grade students in our high school versus third grade students in our junior high school.

The competition of the knowledge of ancient writing was held last week.
Second grade students in our high school competed with the third grade students for our pride as senior students.

The questions were difficult to solve.
One of the examples was “what was the name of Japanese emperor’s palace in Heian-period?”
The answer to this question is “Seiryo-Den”.
Other example was “what was the moon which is next full moon called by people in Heian-period?”
The answer to this question is “Izayoi-no-Tsuki”.

As a result, the high school won that competition.
We could save our face!!

The Music Festival

The Music Festival was held at the representative hall in Hiroshima on February 11.

Each grade sings various songs and strengthened the bond among themselves.

The music clubs (chorus, guitar, string music and koto club) in our school sing or play each instruments and performed the results of their daily practice.

The soloists of piano, violin and song performed and moved audience.

There has been a lot of influenzas, so practice was difficult.

Second-year senior high school students took part in the training program of lifesaving.
Three staffs from the Japanese Red Cross Society instructed us in this program.

Today, we will introduce a Japanese language teacher.
He is interested in a large number of things and an intellectual.
We asked him five questions.

Q1. What fascinates you about Japanese?
A1. I don’t know yet.
Q2. What food do you like?
A2. I like Italian food.
Q3. Are you particular about your car?
A3. Yes. I like American cars. I want to drive along the shoreline in a convertible.
Q4. How do you spend your holidays?
A4. I live a cultural life. : Reading, driving, watching movies and so on.
Q5. Lastly, who do you respect?
A5. Jesus Christ, Buddha and Confucius.

The construction to make the auditorium is being done by leveling a mountain.

The mountain became smaller and so we could see the neighboring school.

35students and 3 teachers from Paku-mun Senior High School in Incheon, Korea visited our school on January 30th.
