I heard she went to Cambodia as a Children Without Borders member when she was 16.
After that she thought about what she should do in order to repay the favors of people who had helped her.
Then she decided to be a photo journalist, so that people all over the world would know about the casualties in Cambodia, Syria and so on.
As I looked at her photos, I knew the photos may hurt someone.
At the same time I felt their power to convey a story.

Thanks to her talk, the value of our lessons about fostering peace became clearer to us.

3.11

The Tohoku Earthquake disaster in 2011 off the Pacific coast occurred on March 11, 2011.
Today, we prayed for those who died in the earthquake and for rebuilding as early as possible.

We keep on trying to assist the people who live in the eastern Japan.
One of our movements which assist the people is the Green Baton Movement.
This movement is that we plant and bring up some young plants and send them to the disaster area.
We are bringing up 8 dodan-tsutsuji plants in our school  and are going to send them this spring.

They had  buds of new life the other day.
20160311-03

We hope that they will be getting bigger and bigger in the future.
